LBC PROJECT

“The Confluence”, one of the greenest homes on earth.

WP teamed up with SAIT (South Alberta Institute of Technology, Calgary) and the Molenaar family (owners) on this project and not only supplied and installed the timber works and wall, roof and floor system (Enerficient Panel System), but also were the general contractor.

This is an LBC project, which combines aspects of many high level certifications into one, such as LEED Platinum, Green-Built, Passive House and Net Zero. In fact, this is a net positive building. Not only from an energy, but also water consumption perspective.

We had to be very creative to be able to meet the stringent criteria of the the Living Building Institute. Once the certification process is completed, we are aiming to be the fifth residential building on this planet to achieve full certification.

Another proof that Woodpecker is the ideal partner if you are looking to build out of the ordinary!
